We already had twice the opportunity to welcome Finnish artist Terhi Ekebom at some ChiFouMi event : the first time was for the second edition of Pierre Feuille Ciseaux in 2010 (the laboratory / residence for writers organized by the Association ChiFouMi) where visitors were surprised by her singular approach and could appreciate the true extent of her talent.
There were many enthusiastics comments about her work, and meeting her stressed the need to closely follow the career of this young Finnish… Until she returned for Ce Qui Nous Lie in 2012 where Terhi took part to the 24 Hours Comic Day and various interventions in the area while her work remains rather unknown in France (because to this day, no publisher studied her work).
Terhi Ekebom makes use of different techniques, and the more striking one is probably her special homemade scratchin cardboard routine. Her various works have been published in famous Glömp and Laikku, as well as in several international collective works (see Nappa or our Quebec friends Colosse in particular). Last years, she has been attending various festivals, particularly in the context of murals / installations where she has shown a real insatiability regarding graphical experiments. ChiFouMi is therefore really satisfied to be able to show once again the great talent and sensitive poetry of this young author.
