LL de Mars was born in 1967 in a town where suicide is commonly considered as a natural death. Death as a result of falling through open windows is there the second most frequent cause of death.
In 1975, he learned at school, particularly through collective sports, that a fellow man is not necessarily a « fellow man » ; from that time only, LL de Mars could face life with a brave and valiant soul.
In 1985, he found a friend.
In 1987, this friend ended up putting a bullet through his head in his library.
During this time, L.L. de Mars decided to make the drawing of comics his profession. He went to Angoulême school of art of comics but realized a school is always a school. He finally returned home, skinny with a yellowish skin tone and an deformed nose.
Upon returning, he discovered the « Vécu » magazine. Then he decided to stop drawing comics.
In 1996, to comfort his friend Johanne, he asked her about her favorite animal. « Penguin » she said. LL de Mars scribbled her plenty of penguins, and she get better. A friend told him « I know a guy who may edit those drawings ». The guy edited them. Two tiny books later, LL de Mars realized he still liked drawing things.
Since 1999, he has published in small zines all the pages that nobody wanted in 1988. There are a lot of drawings that nobody would take before 2011. Now he creates new pages, waiting for Pascal Doury’s resurrection.
