Each and every tiny line that Emilie Plateau is drawing tells everything about life : her life, obviously, but as a matter of fact, life with a capital “L”.
After many years spending her time observing, listening, recording anything around her, she slowly but surely assembled tons of pages that could easily look like some kind of a very long diary, cut in many little self-published minis. Using some distance and filling it wisely with a caustic, sharp storytelling, Emilie (a south-eastern France native who is now living under the Bruxelles rainy atmosphere) is just pushing the autobiographic over-used general idea beyond what we were used to. New and unexpected way to deal with honesty and candor shows at each new story she share with her readers.
