Eleanor Davis lived her childhood in Arizona, and was earlier exposed to american finest classics comics. During high school, she was introduced to the indy zine world, then did her class at the Savannah College of Art and began some quite great journey that satisfy plenty of curious today : either handmade die cuts creations or plenty of mini-comics were noticed enough for being published in anthology Mome or Best American Comics, before publishing her first books.
If “The Secret Science Alliance and the Copycat Crook” and “Stinky” (which was published in 2008 via Françoise Mouly inprint, Toon Books, and won an ALA Giesel Honor Award) are two children’s graphic novels, Eleanor keeps on creating comics and minis for a wider audience, and tons of illustrations for the press. Her clients are The New York Times, Plansponser, Lucky Peach, BusinessWeek, The Guardian, Oxford American, BUST Magazine, Charlex NYC, Fantagraphics Books, TOON Books, First Second Books, Houghton Mifflin, Workman Publishing, Bloomsbury Books, ARMEDIA Design, and DJ Case and Associates… She also won many awards : Society of Illustrators – Gold and Silver; Eisner Nominee (Secret Science Alliance); Print Magazine’s New Visual Artists 2009; Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor (Stinky); Russ Manning Award (Stinky);  Best American Comics 2008 + cover…
She currently lives in Athens, Georgia and teaches comic book classes with her husband, Drew Weing, also cartonist, with whom she created Little House Comics.
